The 17th COBRAC is coming! 📢🌍

The Congress on Multifunctional Cadastre and Territorial Management – COBRAC 2026 is a technical-scientific event, held since 1994 in Florianópolis by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), currently through the Postgraduate Program in Transportation Engineering and Territorial Management – PPGTG, of the Department of Civil Engineering and the Group for Observation and Transformation of the Territory – GOTT. The Congress is in its 17th edition, this time with the theme “Multifunctional Territorial Cadastre as an instrument to support territorial justice”.

The event’s main objective is to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences among professionals, academics, and researchers in the field of Multifunctional Cadastre and Territorial Management. Furthermore, it seeks to update and discuss relevant topics on cadastres in Brazil and worldwide, fostering the development of practices and policies that contribute to more efficient territorial planning. To this end, the congress will feature presentations of papers, roundtables, panels, and conferences that will discuss current issues related to land registration in Brazil and worldwide. As a multidisciplinary event, it includes the participation of students from various undergraduate and graduate programs (master’s and doctoral), professors, and professionals from the public and private sectors.

Throughout its history, COBRAC has contributed to the training of professionals and has also become a venue for the publication of papers discussing this topic in the national and international context. The results of the debates allow institutions that manage land registration to access a critical view of different issues related to land administration. The congress has served as a basis for the main advances promoted in our country in the field of land registration.
